Come along to a free FiLiA Women’s Assembly (FWA) ONLINE event for women in Wales.
The event is for Women only.
ONLINE Thursday 27th August 7-8.30 p.m.
This session continues our series on how women can use the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) and Equality Impact Assessments (EqIAs) to make sure that when decisions are made about women, our needs and experiences are considered and acted upon! It follows on from previous sessions where Sarah Tanburn, campaigner and veteran equality assessor, has outlined how women can harness the power of the PSED and EqIAs to hold politicians and policy makers to account. You don't need to know anything about the PSED or EqIAs to attend this meeting – we'll talk you through what you need to know and you'll have the opportunity to hear from other women in Wales on how they are using this knowledge in practice!
The FWA is a network focused on encouraging women to enter or strengthen their involvement in the women’s liberation movement. It's open to all women who are looking for sisterhood, solidarity and the skills, partnerships and knowledge to take part in or lead successful campaigns on the issues that matter to them.
The Assembly has been holding meetings, events and training sessions in cities across the UK where FiLiA conferences have taken place. Join the FiLiA Women's Assembly here for further events like this and to get more involved.
