Equality Impact Assessments: Feminist Power, Policy Disruption

Come along to a free FiLiA Women’s Assembly event for Women in Glasgow on Saturday 20th June from 11 a.m. until 2.30 p.m., with lunch provided.

The event is free and for women only.

Join FiLiA for a practical and real world focused session on how women can use Equality Impact Assessments (EqIAs) under the Public Sector Equality Duty in Scotland to challenge and influence the decisions of Government and public bodies – including local authorities, universities, police, prisons, courts and many more. This session will walk you through what EqIAs are, how they work, why they matter, what they look like and crucially how campaigners can use them as a powerful lever for accountability and meaningful change for women.

Understanding how to use EqIAs to challenge decisions that shape women’s lives gives feminist campaigners a powerful tool for influence.
