SISTERSHEAL offers transformative group therapy for women. We offer weekend retreats across the UK and an evening course based in Brighton. Jean Calder is founder of the Mary Clarke Statue Appeal and Chair of Trustees. She worked for many years with survivors of sexual and domestic violence and abuse in Brighton & Hove and is a long term campaigner for women's rights in the city.
The Mary Clarke Statue Appeal campaigns for a statue in Brighton & Hove for Mary Clarke, a survivor of domestic abuse who lived in Brighton led the suffrage movement in the south east from 1909 to 1910. She was the first suffragette to die for women's right to vote, as well as being Emmeline Pankhurst's sister, but there is no public memorial to her anywhere in the country. The appeal is committed to use the statue and the hidden story of Mary's life to challenge discrimination and violence toward women and girls and to promote women's rights, equality and democracy.

Victory Afghanistan is a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers. Since the government takeover in September 2021, girls and women in Afghanistan have been banned from accessing education and many basic freedoms. In response, Victory Afghanistan has been offering free online education programs to Afghan girls and women.
This stall will be a powerful opportunity to raise awareness about the ongoing situation for girls and women in Afghanistan, and to promote the work Victory Afghanistan is doing, and continues to do, to support their rights, voices, and education.
Currently, we serve over 800 students, aged 11 to 40, through online English courses and mentoring programs. At the stall, we plan to have flyers, live contact with our students in Afghanistan via a laptop, and also showcase artwork and stories from Afghan girls that reflect their strength, creativity, and determination.

MoMa Breastfeeding is a mother-led breastfeeding support organisation that understands the unique relationship between the mother and child who are breastfeeding. We support mothers in the normal course of breastfeeding, from pregnancy through to weaning.
As a small group of experienced breastfeeding counsellors trained in mother-to-mother support for breastfeeding, we saw that skills and knowledge were being lost through changes in language and the abandonment of mother-centred practice. We realised that support for mothers and children that protects the mother-baby dyad is needed more than ever. That is why we founded MoMa Breastfeeding.
MoMa Breastfeeding will re-establish the wisdom of mothering through breastfeeding and promote the psychological and physical well-being of mothers and children through education in the technique of breastfeeding.
All support is free at the point of access. We rely on donations to provide our services.

Rosemary Schonfeld was born in Wales and grew up in Toronto.
She is a singer-songwriter-guitarist-poet-composer-percussionist-author. In the late 1970s and throughout the 1980s she was one half of OVA, the women’s band who recorded four albums, toured internationally and co-founded a recording studio in London to train women and girls in sound engineering, and where OVA also ran music workshops. After leaving London in 1989 to study Composition at Dartington College of Arts, she remained based in Devon. She created the teaching package for percussionists, ‘Drumātrix’, published an illustrated book of poetry ‘Standing on Your Head’ and continued to run music workshops in the UK and Germany.
In 2018 her book ‘Finding Relly - my family, the Holocaust and me’ was published, and she gives talks about her family history for groups and in schools. She continues to write, perform and record music as a solo artist, and has just release the album 'Sandy and Jean', a rock opera set in the 1980s against the backdrop of Section 28.

The Sky Project is a Bristol-based charity dedicated to raising awareness of Forced Marriage (FM) and ‘Honour’-Based Abuse (HBA). We deliver accredited training locally and nationally, and have been actively involved in campaigns aimed at reducing the number of FM and HBA cases across the UK.
Our Director, Sabeena Pirooz, plays a leading role in this work. She is a member of Bristol’s Harmful Practices Working Group, where she shares best practice with local organisations to improve safeguarding and prevention efforts.
The charity has received multiple awards for its impact, and Sabeena herself has been recognised for her outstanding pro bono contributions to the project. Her expertise and commitment have also led to appearances on radio, television, and in major news outlets, helping to amplify the voices of those affected by these harmful practices.

Transgender Trend was founded by Stephanie Davies-Arai in 2015. We were the first UK organisation to advocate for evidence-based treatment of children who self-identify as 'transgender', and for science-based teaching of sex in schools. We also advocate for the rights of girls as the female sex. Our small independent publishing company, My Body is Me Publishing, self-publishes books for children. Our latest publication is a picture book for girls, Granny's Flag, to give girls a sense of pride in the suffragette flag, linking women and girls through the generations.
