FiLiA's Feminist Friday (FFF) continues throughout 2026! A precious women-only space where we meet on the last Friday of the month.
This year, after hearing from women about what they want more of, we’ll include sessions that follow up on some of our events, including on Sexual Entertainment Venues and Equality Impact Assessments as a feminist campaign tool. Sometimes with speakers, but always with space for women to take part in discussion.
Each month will be different, with women continuing to influence the next month’s topic. FFF is for all women and we want you there. Come with a friend or come alone ‒ we'll make sure you feel welcome and comfortable. FFFs always provide women with the opportunity to connect with other women, to get involved in each other’s campaigns and to strengthen their involvement in the Women’s Liberation Movement, making the movement more powerful.
In January, we’ll talk about the seven demands of the Women’s Liberation Movement and use these to develop a resource for women to use when speaking to candidates in the upcoming Scottish election and then to elected representatives. We’ll then create a guide for women to use to hold politicians to account, making sure that women’s needs are firmly centred.
